Trade between Iran and Afghanistan has nearly doubled over the past three years, Afghan Ministry of Commerce and Industries Spokesman Musafer Qoqandi said.
“Official figures put Iran-Afghanistan bilateral trade at close to $2 billion for the fiscal March 2016-17, up from nearly $1 billion in 2013-14,” Qoqandi was quoted as saying by IRNA.
Unofficial statistics, he added, indicate higher figures.
